LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Three of the winningest women's basketball players in Louisville history are now pros.
Seniors Shoni Schimmel, Antonita Slaughter, and Asia Taylor were all drafted in this week's WNBA Draft. Schimmel was selected eighth to Atlanta, where she will play alongside former Louisville star Angel McCoughtry. Slaughter was taken by the L.A. Sparks and Taylor will head to Minnesota. Head coach Jeff Walz says getting three players drafted shows his staff gets players ready for the next level.
None of the three selected by the WNBA were McDonald's All-Americans.
